Kyle Schwarber delivered a historic performance at Citizens Bank Park, becoming just the 21st player in MLB history to hit four home runs in a single game. His power surge fueled the Philadelphia Phillies’ 19-4 victory over the Atlanta Braves.
Schwarber is only the fourth Phillie ever to achieve this milestone, joining Mike Schmidt (1976), Chuck Klein (1936), and Ed Delahanty (1896). Even more impressive, he recorded nine RBIs, setting a new franchise record.
Highlights of Schwarber’s big night:
- 450-foot solo blast to right field in the 1st inning
- Two-run homer down the right-field line in the 3rd
- Three-run opposite-field shot in the 5th
- Three-run homer in the 7th off Wander Suero
With this incredible feat, Schwarber raised his season total to 49 home runs, a new career high, moving him to second on the Phillies’ single-season home run list behind Ryan Howard (58 HRs in 2006).
This marks the third four-homer game of the 2025 MLB season, following Eugenio Suárez (D-backs, April 26) and Nick Kurtz (A’s, July 25).
